Belgian fashion today is built on the heritage of the Antwerp Six, but has seen a whole new generation of successful Belgian designers beyond them. Belgian fashion is identified as international, creative, rebellious, avant-garde, innovative, ground-breaking and renowned. Belgian designers always put creativity first, despite commercial points of view – in line with the unique approach of fashion education at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Flanders DC are promoting Belgian designers in other markets like London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. Now it felt right to present in Berlin because of its unique space for creativity and newness - two things close to the Belgian fashion DNA. Flanders DC are thrilled to join forces with the Fashion Council Germany to present “Belgium + Berlin = return to creativity”.
