About the programme

Promoting young talent and sustainable commitment: With this project the FCG GERMAN SUSTAIN CONCEPT started at the beginning of 2019. The support programme, initiated by the Fashion Council Germany and its partners Bikini Berlin, showroom.de and Neonyt, Messe Frankfurt’s green showroom, will last 24 months and support three young talents from the field of sustainable design in the disciplines of sourcing, distribution, marketing and business. During this period, the winners will undergo multi-stage coaching.
The concept is the successor to the sustain programme previously run by the Berlin Senate.

The two-year promotion program aims to successfully establish the winners on the market in the long term by helping them to help themselves. Beside the Coachings also interesting presentation possibilities are offered to the winners.

Time requirement:
Participating in the programme will take approximately 30 days within the two years.


The FCG GERMAN SUSTAIN CONCEPT was aimed at all young designers or young fashion labels based in Germany who work in the field of sustainability. After the application phase (November and December 2018), ten finalists presented their brands and concepts to a jury of several top-class industry representatives who selected the three winners. After an initial analysis of the situation, the talents received knowledge in the four core areas as well as contacts in a second phase in coaching sessions and workshops individually tailored to the respective brand needs. In a third phase, in which the respective specialist coaches provide advice, the designers actively implement what they have learned and apply it independently.

BIKINI BERLIN combines work, preservation and entertainment with unconventional shopping experiences. The Concept Shopping Mall is a compilation of carefully curated boutiques and restaurants. The modular pop-up boxes are also part of the mall. Here, well-known brands launch new products or present their creations for the first time.


Neonyt is the green showroom of Messe Frankfurt. With the hub concept, Neonyt combines business, inspiration, knowledge, fun and community in a neo-new way. The hub consists of the Neonyt Trade Fair, the Fashionsustain of Messe Frankfurt and #Fashiontech of the Premium Group, conferences as well as the Thinkaton, the Neonyt Fashion Show, Showcases, Influencer, Bloggerformat Prepeek, Networking-Events and last but not least the Neonyt Party.


SHOWROOM.DE is a curated platform for the new generation of fashion. Today it is the largest digital marketplace for independent labels in Europe and connects over 1000 designers from 20 countries with customers looking for unique products with a unique and individual touch.
