With the German Sustain Concept (GSC), the FCG, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Bikini Berlin, Neonyt and Showroom.de, initiates a promotional programme for young designers who focus on sustainability. The aim is to support the labels on their way to a long-term market positioning.
Following the successful completion of the application phase, 10 finalists of the GSC met in the FCG showroom on January 11th 2019 to present their labels to a selected jury of experts.
The jury comprising Andrea Karg (Allude), Antje Leinemann (Bikini Berlin), Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Christiane Arp (FCG & Vogue Germany), Christina Oster-Daum (Cosnova), Claudia Hofmann (FCG), Danaja Vegelj (Showroom.de), Grit Thoennissen (Der Tagesspiegel), Jörg Ehrlich (Odeeh), Kerstin Schneider (Harper’s Bazaar Germany), Magdalena Schaffrin (Neonyt) and Melissa Drier (fashion journalist, consultant) evaluated not only the design, but also the economic concepts of the labels.
